Perfect LA Weekend with the Kids
Los Angeles is usually known for the crazy Hollywood stories. Yet, when my family and I went there for vacation, it was great!

First we started by going to the Santa Monica pier. The kids loved putting their feet in the water and then going up to the "carnival" area. After that, a 30 minute drive to the La Brea Tar Pits (Page Museum) to learn a few things about the dinosaurs. The whole family enjoyed walking around and reading about how it was before our time.

When it's bedtime, there is nowhere better than the Disney Resort. Not only that, it sets you up for your next day's activity: Disneyland! Every family has to go there at least once. We made sure to take our walking shoes! There is literally something that everyone enjoyed.

Once we saw Mickey and Minnie, we went down the road to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Awesome! The smile on my two boys' faces made the trip from Kansas worth it. The action is great. It usually is about a 2 hour show. The food ... more
